95 z28 rear hatch glass seals.
so my car was outta of commission for about a year at a shop. when i got it back i noticed water was leaking into the rear lower storage area in the trunk. now i cleaned out the drain channels still did it. finally i ran water from the top of the roof down the back sat in the car an i watched it start to leak almost from behind the trim of the inside of the hatch down onto the carpet eventually into the hole. now i put a bead of black silicone around the space between the window an the actual hatch thinking this was the source. but nope still leaked. my driveway is on a small incline so i found if i park the car with the front down grade i dont get water in. so i notice when i shut the hatch now the whole seal moves almost if the window is loose. i can push the glass an see the gap in the hard seal that goes around the window move. there is like a small gap now. idk if the window is loose now or that seal holds it in? do i have to take the window out to replace it? should i remove the silicone ? get all new seals? im afraid to drive it now thinking that the glass is going to pop out an go bye bye. i went to a local glass place an they said theyd look at it but if the glass has to come out they wont cover it if it breaks. im sure someone has run into this. GM shoulda made it like the gen 3 firebirds had the hatch that gets sucked shut because i think this is why this eventually happen an the PA pot hole roads/old age of the car. but any info is appreciated.
