97 Camaro - To sell or To keep?

Its a 5.7 lt1 With 25xxxxx KM on it about 155xxx miles. Car is bone stock other then Moroso cai. It runs fine if ran frequently but after sitting for the winter i started it about 2 weeks about and it took a bit to get going and when it did it had a harsh idle for no more then a minute.

i have about 3000$ saved up in my area the car is worth about 5000$. i could take out a small loan(parents) and buy a 98-02 camaro/TA for about 10000$ to 15000$

Im looking for a fun, reliable summer daily driver.
dont know if i should use the $ to fix the LT1 or just man up to a LS? any ideas?

Do the LS1 F-Bodies still bring 10-15K?

In the Eugene, Oregon area a high mileage (160k+)LS Fbody typically runs $6k-$8k. Most around 100k miles sit in the $10k-$12k area. There was a 79,000 mile 02 for $19k the other day.

My LT1 vert Bluebooks in my area for $6k

The Canadian dollar is off the US dollar by 3% right now; that's small enough to ignore.

Here's a recently-sold, very clean, 2002 LS1 auto with VERY low miles, just sold for 10.5K Canadian:

Here's a very highly modified LS1 car with 700+ horsepower for $14k:

Here's an '02 6-speed Z28 for $8300:

Remember that getting the right car at the right price is worth quite a bit, and that it's fairly cheap to fly cross-country and drive back relative to the cost of the car. Use AutoTrader and other similar car listing sites, browse these forums, and keep looking until you find exactly what you're looking for.

I'd keep it if it were mine sitting all winter with that being said sounds like you store your car in the winter . Vs searching for a rust free ls1 car or purchasing a a ls1 car that hasn't been stored and is rusting .. I'd spend the 3k wisely on the lt1 car if your just looking to own a fun summer toy u have a good platform to start with already

Here's another good option at a good price:
