98-02 camaro lt1 swap
Is there any kits or aftermarket parts for a lt1 swap into a 98-02 camaro? What all would be involved in a swap?
And p.s. dont post if your just gonna be hating on the lt1!!! I like the sound and torque.

I'm not aware of any kits.
At the very least, you're going to need an LT1 K-member, and an LT1 from a 96-97 car (for ODB2 compatibility), and LT1 PCM, and an LT1 wiring harness. I'm not sure exactly what other parts are different, but the chassis are the same, so for the most part, stuff should just bolt on.
Now that I've been helpful, I'm going to add an opinion to the thread:
If you really want an LT1, the cheapest approach is going to be to go out and buy one. They're pretty cheap.
If you really want to swap a motor into your '98-02 Camaro (which I assume is a V6), I suggest an LS3. Throw in a true dual exhaust and you'll have the great sound and a TON of torque.

thanks for the input thanks; anyone else got anything?
As for opinion yea i gotta buy a motor obviously....
I realistically think a budget for a ls3 is a dumb idea; I could buy a camaro for that price. I like the ls1 and lt1 but the lt1's sound and torque is awesome. Ls1 is too high pitch and raspy.

If you are still asking about the LT1 into 98-02 swap, you would simply use LT1 headers.
I have the HP/torque charts for the LS1 and LT1 plotted on top of each other, and the LS1 matches the LT1 at low RPM (to 2,000 RPM), and has more torque at higher RPM.
