98-02 Key FOB on 1994?

I was wondering if I could buy a 98-02 key fob for my 94 Z28, it has power everything. I have already read the ThePartsYouNeed and Shoebox sites on how to do it. I was just wondering if I could use a newer keyfob because the 1994 Key FOB is all old school and square... I want the round one with hatch release.

I don't know of anyone that has gotten that to work. I don't believe they are compatible.

No but they are totally different systems and even operate on different frequencies.

i was wondering this myself... because that old key fob is so boxy and not really ergonmically correct...

Last question - Any car with automatic locks/windows can be programed for Keyless Entry Right? (I have the hatch pop switch in the glovebox as well)

sure you can probably put some wings on your car and make it fly too... but it might be expensive...
