98 t/a guage cluster in a 94?

Re: 98 t/a guage cluster in a 94?
The 1998 cluster is from a LS1 car. Your car is a 94 with a LT1. I'm 90% posative that it won't work because the electronics are too different between the different powertrains.
Typically when people do conversions to the more recent interiors in Camaros they use a 1997 cluster because it fits the new interior but is still set up electronically for a LT1.
Make sense?

most swaps are done from 98+ to 97 because the wiring is very similar, 94 might be going a bit too far back. The Cluster will fit, but you'll have to have an electrical engineer with you to figure out the wiring if you want anything to work.

A friend of mine just put a 97 1/2(digital odometer) Trans Am cluster in his 94 Z28, so it can be done. I will double check with him as soon as possible to see if he had to do anything special to it. His wife just had a baby yesterday, so it may be a few days

There was a dash swap, but I lost sight of the original question in the thread. I have no idea if an LS1 cluster works in an LT1...although the LT1 had the same appearing digital cluster in the late 97 models as the LS1 has.
