AC problem

Hello all, I recently filled my AC system on my 95 Z . I have as of last summer a new air compressor and didn't charge up the AC when I got it til now. I filled it, and have put about 20 miles on the car and I still have a flame thrower as oppose to a air conditioner, Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Re: AC problem

did you change anything else.
So after you replaced the compressor it was never charged or evacuated or anything?
I'd say you need to replace the drier. It is probably bad now and is not able to pull moisture out of the system.
Do you know if the compressor is turning on?

Wow, that is all new to me. No honestly none of that stuff you mentioned was replaced and I concour, it most likely has given up the ghost. Thanks for bringing it to my attention though.

Re: AC problem

and the system needs to be drawn into a vacuum before charging

and you may need to reset the PCM before it will turn the compressor on
