I have an Aeromotive SX1000 pump with both the pre and post filters, and after the car sat for a few months it wouldn't run... just popped the fuse.

I gave it a whack with the handle of a screwdriver, and then it worked for several months.

A couple of weeks ago it wouldn't start at a gas station, even though it was warmed up: whack, and off I went.

Today it wouldn't start, so whack... but now it sounds like its barely running and doesn't build any fuel pressure.

I'm guessing the thing is toast, but these are by no means cheap! Does anyone have a suggestion other than replacing the pump that I can look for?
