air bags

ok, i have a five year old boy. he hates to ride in the back seat of the firebird. is there an easy way to disable just the passenger side airbag? now mind you i realize the safest place for a child is in the back seat, but he likes to have fun in the firebird with his old man.

Re: air bags

Its been a long time since i've had the stock ugly 93-96 Camaro dash in my car but i think you can open the glove box all the way and get it to drop down. Then in the back you should see a little 2 wire plug that runs up to the airbag then unplug it. You should do this with the battery disconnected. I'm not sure if you'll get an AIR BAG dash light or not.
