1969 camaro with a 454.

seems the guy who had the car before doesn't have everything wired up correctly.

I only have a positive wire on the alternator and I know this goes to the battery.

the alternator and battery are new, but not holding a charge and both are good.

I have a feeling I'm missing some wires, shouldn't there be ground or a regulator wire that connects to the alternator along with the positive.

found the regulator and everything is really messed up...I'm pretty sure the alternator I have I can turn into a one wire alternator, anyone know exactly how to do this?
