Another"who would win" post
I am going to be running this guy in 3 weeks at sacramento raceway, so I will be able to see later on, but this guy is buggin me and wanna see your guys' opinions. My 95 z28 m6 with 3:73's, mac haders, borla catback, offroad pipe, tbb, k&n cai, UD pulleys, and airfoil.(I know it dpends huge on my driving ability)
His car is a 70 camaro with a stock 454 bored to a 468 with stock heads and cam. He has a 750 carb, edelbrock performer intake, and headers, on a stock stall.
to me it seems no question I would beat him, but I have money on it and would like to raise the wager if i have a clearcut advantage.

That 454 isn't stock in his car. They did have an Ls6 engine that made 450 bhp and 500 ft-lbs of torque, but never in the maro.
If it's an LS6 from something else though.. you'll get smoked. That's about 400 flywheel hp in today's numbers. So I'd guess 360 RWHP. You're making 300 if you're lucky.
BTW, nice to see someone else that goes to Sacramento. When are you guys racing?

Re: Another"who would win" post
find out what the 454 is from, if its a "stock head and cam" from lets say a late 70's truck then you'll kill him, but if it has stock heads from a ls6 or a mid to late 60's 396 or 427 it will be a different story.
And how do you think you can drive? Then you can decide on the $$$
Either way, good luck.

Re: Another"who would win" post
sorry, I should have clarified. it is a truck engine from a 70's truck I believe. When we looked it up it was somewhere around 200 stock hp and anywhere from 325-375 torque. A lot of people are getting wood over the fact its a big block, I am just down to shut him up!! I wanna drive there with my 25mpg and air conditioning and beat his trailered, no heated or a/c, 10 mpg.
I have a friend with an original LS6 in his 65 vette. yeah, those will eat a lot of things alive.

Re: Another"who would win" post
he says that he has smoked quite a few cars. I am not one to bull**** so I just sit back and nod. I know some of the cars he has raced that are QUICK. he is quick with excuses such as "i had tire spin and i could have caught up to him" and **** like that. sorry to fill the boards with this crap. so basically, I should smoke him?

Re: Another"who would win" post
If it really is a truck motor, then yeah, you should smoke him. Probably be close outta the hole, but that's about it. You'll take him once you get into the top end horsepower. Truck motors are good for pulling houses, our motors are good for pulling quarter miles.

Re: Another"who would win" post
If he actually has a stock cam you should win. But if he doesnt your goin down bad lol.
or
He could be using a stock cam,which they did have a 325 HP,350 HP,375 HP,and 425 HP.
All I can say is good luck.
