bad seat foam

hi there, I am looking for any help or advice. I have a 1996 Formulia Firebird. as with many of these F-bodies the seat foam is loosing its mass. the seat now leans me into the door. the foam is warn down or lost its push on the drivers side in the base or seat pad, and the back where you get in and out of the car. GM no longer makes a replacement and the only company I ever found OER model #SF240 they quit selling. so like so many people I can only imagine are looking for this, so am I. if you guys know anyone making the foam pad that would fit a 1993-1997 (maybe up to 2002 but not sure) F-body, I would love to know where. or if you have a different solution you could give, that would realy be appreciated.

thanks in advance for your help

Did you follow up on the suggestion you received a few weeks ago?

I am going to use that as a fall back, but I would realy like it replace it if possible. I did find a guy that said he could do it, I just would like new if at all possible. not to sure how good patching the foam will work. have you done it or known someone that did? if so, wow well did it hold up after it was done??

I've got original cloth interior on my Z28 and have decided to have both front and back seats reupholstered, and to install new carpet with dynamat under it. Trying to get out really old stains and patch a couple holes probably isn't gonna fly.

Just depends on what you wanna reach in your pocket for. An upholstery shop would give you your best recommendation. Keep in mind they wanna make money. A detail shop can tell you if your upholstery is worth salvaging.
