Blinker light connector??

Blinker light connector??
well in my quest to make this POS actually be a car rather than just look like one, I have found yet another annoying little tid bit. The driver side blinker connector is different than the passenger side, but the problem is that the bulb isn't coming on and when its in the socket the turn signal light comes on solid on the dash?? yet when I remove the bulb is goes off. The blinker bulb doesn't work at all though. Is this a bad bulb or bad ground??? It looks for sure like there was a bit of tinkering and piggy backing attempted with the connector and its corroded a bit with rust and what not. should I just cut and splice a new one in?? The connector on the driver side that is acting up is a pop and turn type if you know what I mean where you put the bulb in and turn it to lock it in place, whereas the passenger one is one that has some griese on it and is just slid into place, which is how they both are on my 95 6 cylinder firebird.

Re: Blinker light connector??
This is from high resistance at the bulb from the corrosion. I have the same problem on the right side. Just spent an hour or so last night cleaning the light socket so it will work until I buy a new one. All rusted up. Sounds like yours has been replaced once already. Seen several other post on this same problem. Seems it's always the turn signal. I'm going to put a little Dielectric grease on the new one and see if I can keep this from happening again.
