Blower Motor Install

I need to replace my blower motor and was wondering how difficult the install is.

I was also wondering if a Delco unit is the only way to go or if I can go with a cheaper brand. I found a Delco for $100 and a Four Seasons Brand for half that.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

Re: Blower Motor Install

Very simple... Reach under the dash and unplug it, remove three bolts, pull it out... I bought a Siemens blower motor with a LT warranty from Autozone for $44... Had no problems... Only thing I had to do was cut the two wires at the plug and crimp them on the butt connectors that were on the new motor.

Are you sure it's the blower motor. I was about to replace mine and found it it was a piece of plastic that broke off that caused a vacuum leak. In return it wouldn't blow air. Now it does. Small fix.

Re: Blower Motor Install

If it's just noisy pull it out and see what's in there, pulled leaves out of mine twice now, saw another post where a piece of electrical tape was making noise.
