Blower motor resistor

I have done enough research to learn that I have a bad resistor for my blower motor. It does not work on high but works on the rest of the settings. 2002 Z-28. I have called the junk yard and they have one I can replace mine with. The problem is I don't know where the resistor is located. Can anyone help?

Your time is appreciated.

Re: Blower motor resistor

the blower motor relay is located behind the stereo. pull the stereo and the under dash kick panel. you will see it to the left rear of the steroe attached to post and it slides up off of the post. The resistor pack plug is located at the front right of the center shift console. you have to take out all of the bolts holding the console down and move it backwards. the shifter plate snaps off and you have to put the sfiter into drive to get clearance. the plug is also attached to a post and it has a clip and slides off the post. the wire follows underneath the plastic box behind the dash and on the floor. follow the wire to the resistor location which is under the glove box against the firewall in the left corner behind the round temperature control. you have to reach all the way back in the corner to feel it because you cannot see it. it has 4 wires and one screw that holds it to the outside of the bottom of the heater box.
