Brakepad - Changing Camaro-99 Z28 Question

Hey Guys,

greetings from germany.

Ive a question. In the next days i will finish my orderlist and will order some parts for my camaro in the USA. Finaly one Question is open:

I look for ceramic brake pads and ive found HAWK Performance HB249Z-575. But like all other Pads is written: "NO HARDWARE INCLUDED".
Im wondering what does it mean. I look for the little metalsprings at the calipers but ive not found anything as seperate part. What does it mean? The metallsprings and parts looks a little bit rusty and so i want to change it too.

Other question: Where can i find a tutorial with some pictures about Brakepad-Chaning?

No hardware should mean that they arent giving you new caliper bolts to hold the caliper on...thats perfectly normal though.

Not sure what the rusty things your referring to are though.

Got a link to the pads so I can be sure?

Tutorial on brake pad swap:
http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...sity/index.htm

The pads will not include the metal clips (brake chatter plates). Don't worry if they are rusty. Remember to grease the caliper pins.

Thx again for your help.

I hear the best pads to use are ceramic, so ive noticed this ones:
(The final order i place at the end of the week. Many questions open at the moment. Shipping is so mutch, so i must sure, that all is fine)

PADS FRONT

PADS REAR

NEW DISK FRONT LEFT

NEW DISK FRONT RIGHT

The rear Axle dont need new disks.

And thx for the link.

Without the help on this board here ill never can drive my camaro so long
In germany no one knows anything about that car. Only a couple of people drive it.

If you are not replacing the rear disks, at least have them turned (resurfaced) at a mechanic shop that does brakes.

Viel Glueck!
