Re: a/c question ?

i installed a new ac compressor and charged it up was working for a few minutes then all of a sudden there's no air coming out of the vents but the ac compressor was working and i could also hear the blower but the air was not coming out at all, i could have it on full blast and compared to my mustang it's like if it was in low when the a/c is working it's on and off it's like if the air going somewhere else or something.

another thing i should thow in i have never had a/c since i've been the owner of the car (4 years).

Re: a/c question ?

i took a look it a little closer and air is going to the bottom so i'm looking for a vacum leak right? i took a good look under the dash and seen a part that kind of looks like A fuel pressure regulator it say's delco remy! and has a 1/8 to 1/4 size nipple like if there's suppose to be a hose there but there ain't ?

this is on a 94 z28

Is air coming from the defrost and floor vents? Usually if a vacuum line falls off, it defaults to those locations.

Re: a/c question ?

that regulator looking thing you see is a vacuum controled door actuator. find the vacuum hose that fell off it and you should be set.

on another note why did you need a new compressor?
