I was thinking of shorties also but those don't give me the horsepower that I want and would get from LT's. I was looking around and found the whole package for LT headers, cats, and y-pipe for $700. Is this what most of you guys bought (those who bought pacesetters)?
This is just for me to know, but if I or anyone for that matter were to change the location of their cats, that would be illegal? How would that make you fail the emissions test, shouldn't I be OK if I have cats?

What do you mean stock exhaust manifolds flow the same as shorties!? I have never heard of this nonsense. Of course LT's are always the best band (for your buck), but as they say, "Anything is better than stock exhaust manifolds.
Shorties i have read have been known to support 450+ rwhp.
Just makes no sense.

The lt1 takes a lot better to shorties than the ls1.

yeah on the 00-02 camaros they revised the manifolds and made them cast iron... what gm did to make them flow better is unknown to me, but i have heard countless times that shorties are a waste on this year of f-body.... if you want to get lts.... think about what you want to do with your car....
just a mild street car or a full on race car
mild street/strip cars= pacesetters, jet-hot
race car= kooks or qtp

I agree, HEADERS! But like someone already said, you can cut 1/2 to 1 coil off your front springs and remove the isolator in the rear to get a nice drop. I cut exactly one coil off of my front springs and got 1.25" drop for reference. Let me know if you want more info on this.
