Car runing rich
Did some stuff to the car over the winter. Nothing internal, also put in a racetronix pump and TR-6's.
Also got a tune for Ion aka Madz28. A few weeks later it threw a left bank rich code. Pulled it out and ran some fuel injector cleaner threw the car, drove it more then turned it into a nice Saturday car, since late last summer I have put 3XX miles on it. Right before I stoped driving it so much it threw the code again so I figured it had to the be the O2, no problems for a while. Took it out tonight for opening cruise night and it threw another SES light, took it home and ran the codes and had one for left bank rich and right bank rich.
I know I need to put new plugs in but even with fresh TR-6's gaped right it threw the code for left and before the tune it never did it.
I had Ion pull out all the emmisions stuff because it was throwing an emmision code when I got the car. Talked to Ion and he said since I don't have a cam he left my A/F alone. Told me it could be my fuel pressure regulator. When I put my racetronix pump it I checked the pressure at the test fitting and was at like 43psi or whatever the normal range is.
Tune is fine, new O2's, injector cleaner had gone threw the car, new Racetronix pump (have not hooked the harness up yet), new fuel filter.
Regulator?
For a while I was thinking my car was running as good as it would get last year, now I am finding out its not haha.
Bought the car a year ago last June, was stock till that winter and thats when I started messing with it, plugs looked original but you could the the car was way rich but had not thrown a code, once it warmed up it started throwing the code (now codes). No point in checking the plugs untill I replace them soon since I know its going to be rich again.
