Converting 02 'Bird headlights to H4
I know there's a how-to on this out there somewhere, but I've searched and searched to no avail:
I want to switch my 02 Firebird low beams from the sealed beams to H4 bulbs so that I can run Silverstar bulbs. Does anyone know how to modify a sealed beam or where a kit can be purchased for this?

you can also pick up new housings from rallylights.com . Once you convert your housings, which accept H1 or whatever lamps, all you need is the adapter harness that they also offer. Very simple to do. I replaced my stock housings with Hella free-form housings with H4 style lamps and adapters. Great mod.

Hopefully I can find a way to do this on my own.

I was looking at the write-up on this mod on the website listed above and it says to use 9005ST bulbs so that no wiring modification is needed but the author owned an LT1 Camaro. I have an 02 Firebird, does anyone know if this will still be true?

I doubt the same tutorial would apply but I could be wrong. The 98+ birds have an expensive conversion whereas my LT1 conversion is much cheaper for some odd reason. However, going with a quality conversion will pay dividends every time you drive your car at night. Plus, being a little bit more pricey, not a lot of people will be getting them so you will be different than the next guy in a good way.
