QTP. The only choice. Others dont compare. I have one on my car for about 3 years i beleive. No issues, works like a charm everyime.

Re: Electric cutout..whats your fav. brand?

I have a QTP as well. Had it for well over a year and it was extremly easy to install. I dont think they could have made it simpler (the set up the switch and cable, basically plug and play). However when mine is closed its sounds like ***(really bad exhaust leak, probably just needs to be cleaned). Plus, the only time I ever use it is to say "hey look what I can do." Its more of a novelty than a necessity. First, make sure you really want one, second, I would say I'm pleased with my QTP.

REALLY?!!

I'd heard (second-hand) of problems with the QTP, so I was dead-set on the DMH brand... (See my post on the "GP" board.)

But if all of you guys like your QTPs, I'd really rather buy one from someone who supports this site!

Hmmm....

Another vote for the QTP. I have one in my Borla and I can adjust it from the cockpit to sound however I want. Installation was a snap.

DMH with my Borla. Good quality, but took forever to get it. I called and placed my order, a week later still nothing. I e-mailed and they said it would be done that day. Waited a week later and e-mailed again asking where it was at and got no response. Got back from Milwaukee the following week and found it on my doorstep. Three weeks to get it, but happy ever since...not a bad warranty either.

Which means that one should ignore pretty much everything they read on these boards...

Re: Electric cutout..whats your fav. brand?

I think the whole idea is flawed myself.

Mounting the cutout under the rear seat is a bad spot because
1. It dumps hot exhaust onto the bottom of your car, turning it black and stripping the paint.
2. It rattles all the interior plastics loose
3. I heard that somebody had a rear shock go bad from all the heat off the exhaust.

I had a DMH cutout. Installed it exactly like their instructions said. I ended up melting the wires that go to the electric motor. Then the electric motor fell off the plate. They sent me a new cutout, with a completely different electric motor. Which tells me they were having problems with the old motor. I sold the new cutout on ebay for $100. I then had the cutout removed and a new section of pipe welded in. Then I cut the muffler off and ran a straight piece of pipe that dumps at the rear bumper. Car still sounds loud without all the drone inside the car like the cutout. If you are going to keep the cutout open all the time, don't even get one. Just cut off your muffler.

EDIT: Forgot to mention I have the stock manifolds, cats, and y-pipe.(have to keep it that way for emmissions). My advice is only good if you are running cats on your car.
