Exhaust

hi, i am still undecided on exhaust. The three i am looking at are gmmg, Borla, and Corsa. I am looking for sound and performance. I was on the borla site and it has the non adjustable systems cheap. I was wondering are they loud. I have never heard any of these systems on a camaro. I heard borla on a vette and it sounded awesome. Also, i plan on putting headers on.

Re: Exhaust

if you are getting the borla or gmmg with headers, you better get a catted y pipe...they sound like *** without cats and longtubes

Re: Exhaust

I have the tunable Borla on my car with no plates and an off road y pipe. sounds real raspy and DEFINITELY loud. I'm really not a big fan of the way it sounds right now even though if you want to get attention, this is the way to do it fer sher. I plan on adding some long tube headers, pretty sure that will get the exhaust note the way I want it.

Yep, its a start. I only like the Corsa on a stock car, I love the Borla on stock and modded, plus its tuneability. I just dont see the hype about GMMG.

Especially when you realize that their "chambered mufflers" are nothing but dented glorfied glasspacks.

IMO the B&B tri-flo is a great sounding higher end catback, but they never got very popular.

Re: Exhaust

Borla IMO are over priced (well all of the ones you are considering are..) but they dont have that great of a sound. And around here. EVERYONE has one..

GMMG sounds like poo.. I didnt like them at all. Heard them on the street and then on the dyno.. Not impressed.. and for the $, definately not worth it. (You can find chambered mufflers for much less)

Corsa.. Now I have heard this on a Z.. as well as on a vette.. On a vette is sings.. Freaking great. On the Z it wasnt as pretty but definately a better note over what the typical exhaust mod sounds like.

Re: Exhaust

I voted Borla, but only if you get the adjustable one. I loved it on my '99.

Re: Exhaust

I Have The Corsa And Mine. I Love Them. I Do Not Have Headers Or High Flow Cats Though. That Would Probably Change The Sound Alot. So Far They Have Been Great.

Re: Exhaust

Borla would be the best for power. I personally like the way they sound as well. However talking with many people on this same subject, I will say that most people enjoy the sound of the Corsa over the Borla.

Yeah, I've gotten some compliments on my Borla lateley. Sounds GREAT at WOT!... Kinda raspy, but nice... It's good because it's loud when I want it to be yet, very quiet in car and when cruising. -almost no drone. Anywhere over 2500 rpm it starts getting loud. The VID is a good idea, but it sounds better on a fly-by. .....I've been told twice..."It sounds like NASCAR!"
