First-gen Camaro info needed...

I've never really liked the abundance of chrome found on most classic cars, so the fact that virtually every visible trim piece on the first-gen camaro happens to be chrome really gets on my nerves. I much prefer the black rubber trim found on most late model vehicles. Does any aftermarket company make black rubber trim pieces for the first-gen camaro, such as the windshield trim, etc?

I don't know the answer to your question, but a possible solution might be to paint those trim pieces. The piece that goes around the side windows on mine is painted body color and the chrome around the wheel wells has just been removed and looks fine. If you hate the chrome around the front and back windows just paint it black.

i had actually thought about that, but i'm unfamiliar with what kind of prep work would need to be performed on chrome trim pieces to create a long-lasting finish. any ideas? btw, my preference would be flat black trim, if that makes a difference.

Or just buy the trim from a late mod. Camaro, and have a custom cut windshield.
