fog lights on a 95 formula
Hi everyone.
Ive been toying with the idea of adding fog lights to my 1995 formula for a while now. The previous owner put some dumb looking blue ones on it, and I got pulled over by the poe-poes a while back so I just stopped turning them on.
Anyways, I want to do it the right way this time. I already have HID's installed in the headlights using the Hella housings.
I've found the SLP kit on ebay: Firebird Formula SLP Fog Light Kit New | eBay sold by I think the same seller as hawks 3rd gen dot com, but with free shipping What are the thoughts on this kit? Is the quality good? Is it truly an SLP kit or a Chinese kit? Is it a PITA to install?
As far as I can tell, every firebird has the wiring already installed for fog lights, is this true? I would only need to buy the factory switch? I see those things are stupid expensive brand new, but used ones are much cheaper. Is it the same switch from 93 to 02? Some websites say the 98-02 is different, but looks exactly the same as the older model ones (93-97). Some insight would be appreciated on that.
Thanks everyone for the input, as always, I really appreciate it!!

Re: fog lights on a 95 formula
I am curious if it is a GM part manual, and if the updated part number for 2000+ supersedes the 93-1999 model years too.
O'Reily Auto Parts shows the BWD S2176 fog light switch to include all years from 1988 through 1999, but leaves out the 2000 to 2002. This is the only reason why I ask. I'm trying to see if I can get a switch off eBay but I want to make sure I get the right one.

Check this link for another link to the manual: 4th Gen Parts Books Download - LS1LT1 Forum : LT1, LS1, Camaro, Firebird, Trans Am, Engine Tech Forums
or you can just search for "93_02_partmanual_firebirdta.zip"
It's far from perfect, sections missing, difficult to read, hard to navigate
It shows the 94-99 switch part number as 10195570 (Delco D7017A),
and the 00-02 part number as 10414007 (no Delco # shown)
I have no idea what the difference is. The schematics are the same and the photos in the user manuals are the same.

So, for me, I guess I will try to find the right colored one as Im shooting for the factory look, but if I find a dirt cheap newer (darker) one I'll pull the trigger.
Thanks for helping me indirectly track down the difference on the switch!
Now, if I can just get some other queries knocked out Ill be doing good!
