Re: Front wheel bearings

I actually need to replace my hub on my 95z. I assume if I go to boneyard I can get a hub for any 93-02 camaro or firebird, right?

Also, will I need any special tools to replace the hub? Thanks.

Right. As mentioned above, four bolts hold the hub in the spindle. But you will need to remove the rotor and caliper (as I recall). I would not say that there are any "special" tools needed for this work.

I'd sell you my 97 hubs with about 35k miles on them but by the time you'd pay shipping, it might be cheaper and easier to find one in your local bone yard.

Re: Front wheel bearings

Any special techiques to remove the hubs from the uprights? When I upgraded my front brakes I tried to remove the hubs to make cutting the old caliper mounting lugs off a little easier. Lots of PB Blaster and backed the bolts out a few turns to bang on them. No movement. An overnight PB soak and more bolt beating but I finally gave up and just continued with upgrade. Just wondering for the day I might have to replace one.
