Truth be told the LS1 is "out of date" now too.

Its going to be hard to compete with the bigger cubed LS2's.

Unless he has the time slip he can talk all he wants about how fast it MIGHT go.

Oh wow.... that made me laugh pretty good...... seriously I laughed pretty hard. Any guy that says "Custom tuning from Hypertech"... you can't take seriously... unless he's trying to throw you off so you don't know that he is really moded.

Uh, yeah ... 'cause the "custom Hypertech tune" that my car got advanced the timing so far, that even running 94 octane couldn't cure the pinging above ~5000 RPM, and on the dyno, there wasn't more than 1 RWHP difference with/without!

Think he's got a cutout???

ive already talked to him about this, he said that he will not race at heartland park until he has his "new motor" in his car
If your out this weekend, LMK, and i'll set u 2 up for a race on the highway lol

Supposably he's building a 408 LS1
and his friend has a 69 chevelle that runs a blazing 12.64 on motor, and then a 12.04 on a 150 shot.....

anyways, i know that NOW he has
new intake
cai
headers
exhaust
so with those mods, i would believe a 12.64, but he is saying that is what his bone stock time would have been if he had better traction

OK, he won't race what he thinks is an "out of date" LT1 until he has his new engine?
Sounds like he is one of those "talkers" to me. Always runs fast, but will never race because of some reason. Just quit listening to him or tell him to run or shut up.

There was a guy at work that kept jawing to a friend (who is a Honda lover who has no clue about domestics) about how his Grand Prix GT was super charged blah blah blah. He would never run his mouth around me so I told my friend what to look for and he shut him down.
Same dumb a$$ had the chrome valve stem covers w/out caps. I told him they would fly off and he wouldn't listen. Next day they were gone. People like that'll never learn.
