Header Y-pipe ?

It looks as if the y-pipe being installed will block the transmission from being able to be removed from the car. I had these guys at a shop tell me that they couldn't weld it in because of this and that they would just have to use clamps. Anybody else have this problem?

PS: I was also curious on how often everyone has to tighten their header bolts.

Re: Header Y-pipe ?

how often do you plan to drop your trans?

i would clamp the ypipe to the headers and the rest can be welded.

as for bolts, i've checked mine 2 times in 6 months and found them all to be as tight as the first time. and i reused stock bolts.
