headlight wiring

i have a 96 TA and ive been having trouble with my passenger side headlight motor wanted to continuously run. i ended up just unplugging both motors and putting them up manually if i need to drive at night. well, the other day i used my mulitmeter and checked voltage of both headlights with interior switch in the off position. driver side was 0VDC, but passenger side was 12VDC. so i knew there was a continuous supply of voltage to pass side. today i totally disconnected to interior headlight switch and tested voltage again at the motors to rule out a faulty swtich. driver side was 0VDC but pass side was still 12VDC. which leads me to believe that there is a short in the wiring somewhere. ive been looking at wiring diagrams, but i have no idea where half of the stuff i located at. if anyone can help, it is greatly appreciated.
