Hot lt1

Car sat for 3 years as life happened, motor has less than 4k miles on a complete rebuild with cam and tune. Recently replaced my csr ewp and new upper and lower hoses, cannot get engine to cool down. Radiator was replaced before car was parked and car has been bleed (air) multiple times..temp will not stay constant, just climbs..all fans work ,ewp is working, flow thru hoses seems good..no oil/ water mix.
When engine is running, nothing out of the ordinary other then temp problem (wierd noises, miss)

Re: Hot lt1

Are you sure the pump is rotating in the correct direction? If the leads are switched it will run backwards.

Re: Hot lt1

Is car actually hot?
temp on gauge?
temp on pcm (water pump sensor)

I had thermostat go weird on mine years ago. Temp gauge would hit the red after a few minutes driving home after a shirt stop. Dumping the clutch & reving motor would bring temps down briefly.
Thermostat seemed ok when tested in pan of hot water, but still did it.
New stat fixed the issue.
