How do I use a Torque Wrench?
So ya I have one and no Idea on how to use it.
On the handle its numbered 0 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 in a circle
I know pushing this metal part of the hadnle down allows me to turn the numbered portion up the shaft that is labeled 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100 lbs
On the other side of the shaft torque is listed in N M? metric?
But how do I read it?

Re: How do I use a Torque Wrench?
in between the 20, 30, 40 etc are ten settings...hence the 0-9 on the other indicator.
so if you have it between 20 and 30...and it's on a 4....it's 24lb-ft of torque
should make a clicking sound when it hits the proper torque.
best to torque things in increments...if it has to be 50...go to 45 first...then do a final torque to 50.
