Idle jumps when pwr mirror switch is touched
Car ran through a puddle 3 nights ago and caused a no start/dying issue. It has been unreliable ever since so I parked it. As it sat in the driveway idling tonight I tried getting the pwr mirrors to adjust, read a thread where the guy rapidly pressed L/R and the screws freed themselves and it worked finally. Well when I did that, my idle raised to 2k rpms until I stopped tapping, then fell back back down. Mostly happens on the driver side mirror. I tried other electronics to get a similar condition, but no luck, just the power mirror switch. Eventually the car died again and being late I called it quits for the night.
How much long term havoc can a puddle cause? Its seattle and just had pineapple express run through here. Didnt see the puddle until it was too late, but it's been 3 days and the car still won't start up easily.

How big was the puddle? I would think it would be unlikely that water got into the intake, but do you think it is possible?
It sounds mostly electrical to me. I would suggest going over the grounds and to make sure everything is solid.

It was pretty deep, road was dark. Water was flying over the fenders from the tires pushing through it. It drove fine after and the next day. Thinking it might be the coil or icm now causing the hard start, otherwise still runs great when it does start so, fingers crossed the opti and FP are fine.
