Question Ignition Switch Adjustment

On my 95' Trans Am have a problem with the ignition switch. U turn the key on and start it u have to hold the key alittle forward to keep the car going, if you let it come all the way back after cranking the motor over everything dies. I also moved the power wire that goes to the blue connector are has some affect on it. This all happened when I went to start it one day and the key turned kinda hard? I dont think the switch is bad, just out of adjustment or possible bad connection with that 1 wire? Any help?

The switch is probably wore out... My original switch in the 93Z is starting to show its wear.. Going to have to replace in the near future.....

ok, it worked fine today, but it just depends I guess. If you turn the key to on position all is fine, start it, its fine, when you let the key go and it returns to on position it dies.. hold it just alittle forward from the on position it stays running and runs fine. I zip tied it the one day to my 4 ways to get me home, ran fine. Kinda thought the switch was ok, just out of adjustment, but I'll try a switch.. Thanks
