Injector question
I have a set of injectors that sat for a few years on an assembled motor in my garage, now they are not working. Did they just get gummed up from old gasoline or what? How long should a used injector be able to sit and still work properly???

Re: Injector question
Try soaking them in a dish of carb cleaner for a few days.
I had the same problem once with a TBI injector... the car sat so long the injector wouldnt spray anymore. It got gummed up. Soaking it overnight in carb cleaner fixed it. The car ran fine afterwards, no problems.
You've got nothing to lose, right? Give it a shot.

Re: Injector question
Would 3 months be too long to have let them sit? Im not too hot on the idea of paying a lot of money to have stockers cleaned when I can pick up a used set for way less or an aftermarket set used for the price of cleaned stockers ya know? Im wanting to buy another stock set to test and see if the injectors are causing my problem and the set im about to buy has been sitting about 3 months, would they more than likely be ok?
