Instrument Cluster Problems

Last year I replaced my 115 mph instrument cluster with a 155 mph version. Here lately the temp gauge has been working intermittently. You can usually just lightly push the cluster and it'll begin working again. I removed it the other day and cleaned all of the connection tabs on the back. That didn't help. Anybody had this happen to them? Any ideas on how to fix it? TIA.

Re: Instrument Cluster Problems

Saw your post floundering and thought I'de try to give you a little information but probably little help. The instrument cluster contains solid state logic and is therefore on a printed circuit board. Based on what you describe, there is probably a bad solder joint on the board. The part that I am of little help on is whether you can get to the board or not. I have never pulled one apart before. I assume it can be opened up.
