Its finally here!

The big package just arrived and I took some pics. Finally its no longer a dream, its reality now. It will still be a while before its built and in the car, but little by little it will come together. I'm gonna go buy an engine stand now and it will be daily motivation sitting in the garage.

Its a L92, gonna be stroked to a 415 or up to a 418.

Ported L92 heads, port matched intake manifold (L76). Monsterous cam, nice pistons, nitrous rings, all good stuff. Gonna upgrade the k-member and a-arms to save weight, maybe a TH400 (undecided), Yank 3800, and some other stuff, but thats the basics.

I'm only gonna gather some of the parts myself, heads, intake and stuff. Nick Newton at Newtech Performance will get the rest for me and build it.

How much did the block set you aside and what do you reckon a set of heads will run? I'm now considering doing an LSx swap into my f-body, trying to gather info.

That new LSX block I saw a while back was really hot. I don't know if it's available now as I haven't looked into it. But you could bore it out and and stroke it for it's max of 511 cid. The maximum bore was a little iffy pushing the limits of the bore I think... but you could go slightly smaller and be safe, I'm sure.

It'll be interesting to see what people are going to build with them. Oh also it was a very affordable block imho. When I saw the price tag I thought it was a typo... lol.

Regards,

Chris

Edit: Oh yeah, nice block gofast, good luck with your build. That thing is a whole lot of sex.

it was about $1560 shipped to my door (fedex, not freight). The assembled heads are about 900 i think, maybe a little more. But i'm gonna get the ported ones and thats about 1400.

I believe the LSX block is about 2500, which aint bad considering what it is.
