Take it back. bye the time you fix it youll have way more in it then its worth. Dont waste anytime doing it either becasue the law limits how much time you have to do so.

Goodluck man.......Sorry to hear of your problems.

Re: just bought 94 z28

I bought a 97 Camaro RS like that... Door would not shut, Multiple Misfires, Tranny Crapped out, Old Coolant, Very old Oil, EGR and a few other goodies went, radio was stolen, Trunk Struts were dead, list goes on and on, even the turn signals and bright lights didn't work without an @$$ about it...

I fixxed it all up and have a wonderfull riding car but trust me... it's NOT worth it especially if you're paying a carnote... Don't be stupid like I was when I went and paid $12k for a V6 (when it was actually advertised at $3,500... dealer added some goodies and I was so excited that I didn't catch it... the car was so beautiful...) When the papers were signed, so was my fate so I fixxed it up and am planning an engine swap instead since I would be at a MAJOR financial loss if I sold the car...

Don't be stupid like I was... that car sounds like it's a time bomb and it's ganna go off when you need it the most... thats exactly when my transmission crapped out... There's other Z28's out there...

Dont feel bad need..the dealers do that to millions of people. One of my friends buddies" some guy I just met" Bought a 97 Grand am last week fro 7400K and it needs some work. I have a friend in the car Bizz that could have gotten him the same car for 2200. The people who traded his car in probably got 1100 Bucks for it so the dealer made over 5k on it. It needs braks..has bad paint...needs belts..battery is weak, tires are not so great. It isnt worth 3k.

My car needs a front end alaignment and is missing the factory manual, replaced the battery a week after I bought it but the paint is OKAY with the exception of the imfamous F-Body nose scratches, the tires looked pretty new too... Later I did a carfax and found out my girl had been involved in a police chase (I own it so apparently it didn't get far), hit and run, and got rearended... I found proof when I found that my passengerside tail light is just SLIGHTLY different than my passenger side tail light. Then there was something saying that my odometer might be off but I really don't care about that... it says 140k on it so I doubt if it's off by to far right about now...

And after all it's been through it still looks mint in conidition thanks to me... drives pretty peppy too...
