Lightweight U-Joints??

I am about to replace my universal joint and I was just wondering if they make anykind of lighter weight or some kind of performance one? I know they have lighter driveshafts, of course I know a U-joint doesnt weigh that much, but hey every little bit helps.

Re: Lightweight U-Joints??

If you have ever held a U-joint in your hand you'd see that they really weigh next to nothing considering the ammount of force that these things have to hold up to. Even if there were a lightened U-joint I would never want to use one. It would have to be made of titanium or something similar. Imagine the cost to save an ounce or two?
