little question

so it was around 40 degrees out and i had been gentle with my car the whole way. I went to mcdonalds and sat in the drive thru for maybe 5 minutes and in that time the engine heated up enough to turn the fans on at 220 degrees..is this normal, i mean it usually always does in the summer in the drive thru, but when its only 40 degrees out?

Doesn't sound like an issue, as long as it didn't peg in the red and the cooling fans kicked on, it sounds normal.

It will probably have little effect until you get your PCM tuned to adjust the fan on/off speeds. Then your car will be running alot cooler.

doesnt sound like a problem. If it happened well you were driving I might be worried. but when you are stationary you dont have any air flow thorugh the radiator so the fans will come on, even at that low of an outside temp.
