You can probably do that. Don't know the cost. If it's too much, are you just going to abandon your car?

Re: Lost Keys In the Snow!!

You could wait until the snow melts if you know approx. where they are. I think the dealership can cut you a new key, I know they can if they have proof of ownership, your vin number and your old key, but I think they should be able to without your old key. Should be somewhere in the high 30 dollar range for a new one.

I had door and trunk keys made without the originals so hopefully they can make you an ignition key.

You're lucky you don't have a key fob... I dropped my keys in the snow and had to dig around and find them because I wasn't about to shell out a couple hundred bucks for a new alarm fob.

I commend you for your dedication SLeeper94Z.

Short Story:

Got into a spontaneous brawl on a beach. At the time I was wearing a gold chain with a invaluable medallion that was passed down to the 1st oldest of the family for 3 generations. Was blessed by countless of priests and pastures. It wasn't till we were drinking again to subside the pain is when I reached for it to adjust it as I have a million times before, only to find, the chain was broken and only holding on due to the sweat and sand. MAN, I broke down worse than a F*rd. Needless to say I SEARCHED and SEARCHED for 12hours straight. Took a 6 hr nap in my car and went back at it to no alas.

Happy you were able to find a solution. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go cry in the corner.

Ruben F.
