I can barely fit two fingers between the top of the tire and the fender.

I heard Intrax were awesome springs.. How low did you go? I'm looking at a 1" drop w/ the 17" SS wheels, same ride height from a stock 16" Z28 wheel..

I've also heard that the BMR springs suck......??

Re: lowered 4th gens

It really didn't measure that much with a tape, but then again I don't know how much travel these cars have. I was told the springs were 2-2.5 but installed are more like 3. I have 18's on my car and wanted to close up the gap in the wheel well so I figured I would try them out!!

with bigger wheels, you buy a thinner sidewall tire...and end up at the same ride height...my freind had the bmr springs, and i really liked the way those rode, i think it was a 1.5 inch drop

Re: lowered 4th gens

FYI, my 17" TT2's w/ 275/40/17 tires actually sit ~1" shorter in diameter than my factory wheels w/ 255/50/16's on them.

Re: lowered 4th gens

your factory tires were supposed to be 245/50/16, not 255
when you calculate tire diameter between 275/40/17 and 245/50/16, it comes out to less than 1/10th of an inch. (in a perfect world)

riding on Sprint Springs 1.75" lower in front 1.5" lower in rear on SS (ZR1 wheel/tires). Looks great but very rough on bumps.

Re: lowered 4th gens

1 coil cut from the front stock springs, 3/4 coil cut from the rear with isolator removed and heat hose on the top coil.

26" front height, 27.25 rear.

with st35mm swaybar, bilsteins, gw upper controls arms. it handles pretty good and the ride is far superior that stock.

-1.7 camber, 4.5 caster, 0 toe in.
