LT1 is not the same as LT-1!

LT1 is not the same as LT-1!
I was at Wikipedia, reading about the history of Chevy smallblocks, when I found this:
I don't know if this was common knowledge, but I'll be sure not to put a dash in LT1 ever again!
LT-1
Years: 1970-1972
The LT-1 was the ultimate 350 V8, becoming available in 1970. It used solid lifters, 11:1 compression, a high-performance camshaft, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor on a special aluminum intake to produce 370 hp (276 kW) and 380 ft·lbf (515 N·m). It was available on the Corvette and Camaro Z28. Power was down in 1971 to 330 hp (246 kW) and 360 ft·lbf (477 N·m) with 9:1 compression, and again in 1972 (the last year of the LT-1) to 255 hp (190 kW) and 280 ft·lbf (380 N·m).
Note that there was a later small-block engine called the "LT1".

It is among the older crowd. In fact, I remember being quite annoyed that they would have the nerve to call some fuel-injected puff-piece an "LT1".
Give me my solid cam, 750 double pumper and side pipes dammit!
It's kind of silly though.
You wanna know something else? Something about names and the passage of time?
When I first came on the car scene, which was long enough ago that Scotty Shafiroff was still driving his '77 Monza and Vin Diesel wasn't even an itch in his Daddy's pants; we called it "NOSS" (Pronounced like 'Hoss', from Bonanza.) and we didn't care that the gas was nitrous and that NOS was a brand name.

I always did like the LT-1, even though I'm a Pontiac guy. For me
there was nothing like the RA-IV. Based on how well many of you guys
are doing on this board, the LT1 is living up to it's name too.

This is really weird, because me and a guy at my work were having a conversation about the old LT-1 today. I never knew there was one. I did however know about the old LS6's from my grandfathers 70 chevelle SS.
