I was wondering others opinions. I was thinking of trading my LT1 car for a 2000 Z28 with 85k miles on it. Id have to pay 4-5.5k with the trade in. Would it be better to fix mine up? oil pan leak front rear main seals opti and what not or just trade for the other car?

 

How much to fix up your car? The LS is much nicer to work on- but you have to pay the price to get in- have you driven it yet? It may surprise you-

waiting on a quote for the price of the repairs. Im sure pretty expensive since ill have the opti replaced as maintenance since it has 110k on it

The first time I got into an LS1 from an LT1 is was night and day. The LT1 feels faster...then you look at your speedo. No comparison.

 

I think I will have to go with fixing up what I have after all. Between parts and labor for fixing the issues with the engine Id only spend $1700. I can do that at my leisure vs a payment for the other car. Now just to figure out what opti to use lol. I know everyone says ACdelco but has anyone ever heard of Richporter Technology - Distributor . It comes with a LLT warranty.
