What are you looking to gain? That rear end gives no details, it could be a 9 bolt a 10 bolt or something else. If you are looking for different gearing just go buy some new gears. What rear do you have now? More info would help.

what gears do you have now? If you have an auto, 4:10s would probably be too much for the street. If you have a manual, it is a good choice of gears. However it will KILL your top end mph. You should also be warry of buying something like that off of ebay.

just do a gear swap up to 3.73. You don't need a whole new rear end. just do gears and some sticky tires to help with the traction ( you'll need it ). Maybe some lower control arms to help plant the rear end too.

What kind of HP do you have right now ? are you stock, or do you have 400 RWHP ? If you are moddified with lots of power then a 12 bolt would be a good choice with lower gears. If you are fairly stock, just get some 3.73s and sticky tires and call it a day.

Well if your looking for something that lasts a pretty good while, stay away from nitto's or BFG drag's. I would suggest a set of Kumo's or really any decent Z rated tire. The Z will wear a little more then others but it will still give you good grip at the same time and give you a good bit of tire life.

Re: much of a difference?

I say beware. Don't know the seller, but he/she is new..no feedback...just joined EBay. It's a pricey item, and there's no picture either. See where I'm heading....

As for your car...if you're basically stock, just do the gear swap. Do you know what gears you have now that came with the 95 A4? I have a 96 A4 and which has a series 2 carrier. You'll should check that out before picking your gears...if you have series 2 or series 3.
