Need a help with the correct AC compressor Part# (Camaro 97 SS)
I would appreciate a little help confirming the correct Part# since the Car is Located in Kuwait and ordering a wrong part would be a big loss time and money.
This is my Vin# 2G1FP22P3V2132003 Camaro 97 SS
but I think it is a Z28 according to the Vin since the SS Package was done by SLP.
Below are my findings:
From Ac Delco site:
15-22135 and 15-20418 professional - I noticed that the professional doesn't come with the 4 ac pipes gaskets and I would be grateful if you can recommend which one is best taking into consideration that AC in Kuwait is a must as it is hell in Summer yet my Camaro survived 23 years and its time to replace the compressor due to leak and I don't think they can rebuild it in here.
from GMPARTSDIRECT site:
part# GM 1916935 that says it fit. Isn't it supposed to be the same part as AC Delco ?!
and Part# GM 89019368 was recommended by a local Mechanic to add more to my confusion
Thank You

Re: Need a help with the correct AC compressor Part# (Camaro 97 SS)
Whether it comes from GM or AC Delco, it is the same part, just different numbering systems. For some reason (allegedly “historical”) GM has maintained AC Delco as an independent, with their own part # system.
