need instructions on fixing my odometer!!
my odometer is sticking right at 81,342 miles. the 4 is stuck, but the last digit keeps moving from 1-9 and once turns over to 0 again, the 4 still doesn't change. i don't know how to even get to the odometer numbers, so i need some start to finish instructions on how to do it from removal of the dash face, to getting to the nubmers. thanx

Re: need instructions on fixing my odometer!!
Just take off the dash pieces one by one and take your time, sometimes pieces will have hidden parts you don't see. Be careful on the dashpad, take the plastic pillar pieces off before you take off the dashpad. That really stinks though, my trip meter got stuck once but all I had to do was reset it. The only reason I noticed it was because there was this clicking noise while I drove that stopped when the car wasn't moving.

Re: need instructions on fixing my odometer!!
remove the "a pillar" trim on both sides
remove the dash pad. it is held on with velcro, just pull it off carefully
remove the drivers side kick panel
remove the radio bezel
remove the drivers knee bolster, unplug the defroster control
remove the guage bezel
remove the guage cluster, and unplug it.
I suggest you now take the cluster to a clean work area.
remove the trim plate/glass from the front of the cluster.
gently pry the guage face from the cluster housing It is just clear plastic with an adhesive overlay on it. It is simpy friction fit. Unplug the odometer.
remove the screws that hold the odometer to the back of the guage face.
repair the odometer and reinstall.
NOTE: I have an extra 1994 odometer. I could set it to read the proper mileage for your car, and send it to you. All you would have to do is install it.
I'd need a picture of your current odometer to make sure I'm setting the proper miles. I will not help if you are attempting to commit odometer fraud.
HERE is a picture of the odometer and how it screws to the back of the guage face. Note that the face in the picture is clear because it does not have an overlay on it at the time the picture was shot. I had removed the black overlay and was installing a white one.
