Need trailer hitch that will accomodate dual outlet exhaust.

Re: Need trailer hitch that will accomodate dual outlet exhaust.
I have a Flowmaster set up with the stock chromed tips. I have a hitch on it that Uhaul installed. The only part of the hitch u see is the little receiver tube below the license plate. It's tough to see. I tow 2 jetskis and a Seadoo jetboat with no problems at all. I think the Z looks especially sweet with the top down and the skis hitched behind it . BTW, the 2 skis weigh about 1,000 pounds w/trailer and the boat about 1,200 w/ its trailer.

Well guys, the hitch arrived today. It'll be a while before I pull my boat with it, but nonetheless I have it in possesion. Hopefully, I'll be able to pull my boat with the hitch- without a hitch as total weight of the boat is ~1200 lbs, which is approximately 60% of the tow rating so this is an acceptable load. This conflicts with the previous weight I disclosed, but is more accurate.
I don't plan to pull the boat that often, only a few times a month during peak usage (summer) and will pull it less in the winter.
I'll post a link to pictures after I get some with the boat in tow.
Thanks to those who have followed this thread.

Hey y'all --
I just put a Reese Shadowmount hitch on my kid's 96 Camaro so he can pull his 14' aluminum boat w/9.9hp outboard. Boat, motor and trailer combined probably weigh under 600 lb, so quityerbitchin!
I got the hitch at the junkyard off a car that had no exhaust, so while the price was right, I didn't know it wouldn't clear the Flowmaster that's on his car. See, the main frame of the hitch goes further to the drivers side than the passenger, because of the way the gas tank is offset. The pipes are evenly spaced under the car. The DS tailpipe hits the hitch hard. If I spaced them out further so the DS cleared the hitch, the PS would probably hit the spare tire well. If I just moved the DS pipe, they'd be lopsided.
I'm thinking I could notch the DS tailpipe to clear. It's a stock 3.8, so it's got more exhaust flow than it needs. Or I could change to a muffler with the outlets on the same side. Or a single exhaust. Or I could try a different hitch.
Any other experience with this? What hitch and what exhaust did you use?
thanks!

I'm surprised you'll have to modify anything to get it to work. I had a Borla exhaust on my Z28 and the Draw-Tite hitch I had fit nicely in there. I did have to lower the exhaust to get it in, but that's it. The car towed great though.
