new to board and need some help
so yeah new to this board. annnd just got a new car. i got a 1999 TA like a week ago and making some mods too it. already ordered a hypertech programmer along with a 160 degree thermostat and a SLP air box lid. the first thing i wanted to get though was exhaust buuuut it seems choosing which exahust system to get is the hardest decision. I'm stuck between corsa, borla and magnaflow. if anyone can help me out and let me know which one sounds best, looks best and has the best performance that would be great.
Thanks

Use the search feature for exhaust you're looking at and scour the threads for sound clips. Listen to them and see which sounds the best to you. I love the sound of my Flowmaster w/Mac mid length headers and !cat/cutout but it's all subjective. Just try to check out as many as you can before deciding.

Welcome to the board.
Spend some time on www.ls1sounds.com before you drop big bucks on an exhaust system, that's what I did.
As far as power, the TSP Rumbler and SLP Loudmouth will make the most power of any catback due to their straight-through and wide-open design with virtually no restrictions.
As far as sound, that's entirely up to you.
You must REALLY like that car to make a statement like that in your sig.

So TransAm99Chic, you're sig is perfectly understandable and funny. Anyway, the folks on this board have been a huge help to me modding the car and even other subjects. Glad to have you here.

NOBODY understands my obsession with my car, sometimes not even me. Like an inborn drive to mess with it and to hear that beautiful sound it makes....UGH.....Mod junkie is more like it. When you haven't seen your car in almost a year, you hear another modded F-Bod get on it when you are in traffic...... .VERY frusterating! It gives me goose bumps!

yeah. well for now I'm just gonna see what the HPP does. right now its not my money being spent. my dad is doing all the stuff for now b/c he is gonna have it when i go to college in august, so its pretty much what he wants, but over the next few years i'm paying for the car and some of it will get changed. soooo yeah. and we actually ended up going with the borla - dual squared angle tips.
