New Product - SLP's LOUD MOUTH II ????

Hey,

I was checking out the SLP Site and came across this:

http://www.slponline.com/view_product.asp?P=31067

Has anyone heard one in replace of the normal LOUDMOUTH resonator? How well does it cut down on the highway drone?

Re: New Product - SLP's LOUDMOUTH II ????

I was wondering this also, because I would like to use the new bullit muffler to replace my resonator after I put my LT's on, but I'm not sure how long the old resonator is compared with the new muffler. So I called SLP they weren't exactly sure which prompted me to ask them if you could also buy the 2 pipe extension pieces seperately to essentially build a new I-pipe without having to go through the pain in the *** process of trying to weld stainless. They told me I was the first one to ask about this, and would look into it and get back to me. I'll let you guys know what I hear....

Actually received an email from SLP yesterday saying that they will offer this "refab" kit but did not have an idea of pricing yet. They told me to contact them in 2 weeks for pricing, which I plan on doing and will post results. My hope is that they realize that they are selling a muffler and essentially 2 small pieces of bent pipe and wont over price it. I'll let you guys know as soon as I find out.....

do a search.. there's a bunch of posts about this... bsiaclly, you buy a "bullet muffler" which is straight thru.. 3" thru, 4" overall exterior diameter. ask a muffler shop to cut and weld it on your I pipe.

"smooths" out the exhaust.. on a scale of 1-10, if the nromal loudmoth is an 8, it cuts it down tha 7.2
