overheating...
Ive been fighting a overheating problem that has been getting progressively worse. At Idle the car holds temp fairly well. On the highway the car runs about 220. IF I am in town the car will overheat. This was a ongoing isssue. Know I get about 10 min out of the car before it spews all my radiator flood out the overflow. List of what I do know
1. new water pump
2. new thermostat 160*
3. Both fans operating Properly and programmed.
4. proper level of coolant
5. properly bled
6. new radiator cap
7. no visible leaks
8. no coolant in oil
9. no discolored coolant
10. no steam in exhaust
11. no loss of power
12. motor and radiator flushed--no clogs
My only thought left is that I have a blown head gasket leaking compression on a small scale into a water jacket. And as I rev the car or go through the gears it pushes more heat and compression into the cooling system. Even though there are no traditional signs of a blown head gasket.
Just hoping for some other possibility befor ripping of heads for no reason
