Re: Possible rare camaro????

I love threads like this. I figure my 84 must be worth 40 grand. After all it was a special order, one of a kind. No air, try and find another one without air from the factory, sport interior (the Camaro, Camaro, Camaro seats), 3:73 posi, 140 mph speedo, etc., etc,....blah, blah, blah.
One thing I will say, anyone who thinks these aren't the best seats ever put into ANY GM hasn't sat in 'em.

P.S. oh, and it's low miles, mostly just driven on the weekends.

Like I said before: Its only rare and worth $40,000 if someone is willing to pay $40,000... You'd be hard pressed to find anyone ready to drop $40,000 for a Third ~ Fourth gen (non ZL1) that is all/mostly stock.

Re: Possible rare camaro????

ok all i was asking is if its rare...not sayin worth 40,000 or anything. the seats and the licencing problem thing is what he was told by someone else and the reason is that it looked like some other companys seat design...but i have no idea so thats why i asked you guys..so i don't need the critacism. and as far as the paint job goes the car looks awsome with no clear coat!! and he is a very good body guy..we havent had one come back on him yet. not as long as i've been there. soo all i was looking for was no its not rare. so for all you guys that answered that straight shot for me thank you

Re: Possible rare camaro????

The seats were a take off of the Recaro seats which had Recaro repeated in the same way... Never heard anything about licensing problems though.

I dont know any body guys who would voluntarily not clear coat a car....unless you're talking about Maaco or something.

Not really criticizing, just having a little fun, albeit, at your expense. You should be able to tell by our answers, that we all like our t'ird gens.

Re: Possible rare camaro????

POSSIBLY. I OWNED A 1985 Z28.. NOT IROC. IT CAME WITH A 5 SPEED AND SPEEDOMETER READ 140. I CAN REMEMBER KEEPING UP WITH NOTCH BACKS BACK IN THE DAY. NEVER THOUGHT MUCH OF THE 140MPH WITH A 5 SPEED. I GUESS I WAS PRETTY NAIVE TEEN THEN. I ALWAYS FELT CAR WAS SPECIAL AND OTHER Z28'S AND IROCS COULDN'T KEEP UP. WHO KNOWS, I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO FIND ANY INFO ON YHIS SPECIAL Z's. SHOULD HAVE KEPT IT.
