Is it possible to replace a steering wheel with an airbag to one without?
Is it possible to replace a steering wheel with an airbag to one without? My steering wheel needs to be replaced, but I cannot find another one that has the airbag for the life of me. Would it be possible for me to buy like an aftermarket steering wheel and use it or would the car not function correctly with the airbag no longer there?

im pretty sure you dont need to set off the airbag. Just disconnect the battery, pull the airbag fuse and wait like 5 minutes before you do anything.

I'll check that out and see if I can find another steering wheel that will sit flush with the steering column. Mainly I want to do this because the top of my steering wheel is warped and both horn buttons are destroyed, and I want a horn.

If you remove safety equipment from your car intentionally, and someone gets injured or killed driving it you may be laible for damages. Or, it could be you that ends up dead. You'll wish that airbag was there when a car crosses the center line and takes you out.
I would recommend calling a salvage yard and getting a used one. Safety equipment is not a good thing to mess with.
If you were only going to use the car off road, that would change things.

Are you sure it's not illegal to do this where you are? I'd look into that.
It sure is up here in Ontario. You can't disable the airbag in any way unless you have a medical reason. If you have a heart condition.. you do not qualify for this.. but for whatever reason, if you have epilepsy, you do qualify.
